O Scale

O Scale, or O Gauge is one of the larger scales, about twice the size of HO, or 1/48th the size of the prototype. Lionel Brand makes most of their items in O scale, but not all. They are perhaps more impressive than the smaller scales and are popular among children. They have also been tagged with the name "Toy Trains." O27 refers to O gauge track with a 27 inch radius.
